FEU Institute of Technology’s Human Resources Office organized four seminars for the College’s associates, during May, 2013. These seminars included Safety Training, Physical Fitness, Teaching as a Vocation, and Advancing E-Learning on Moodle.
Safety Training was conducted on May 8, in room 907 of the Technology Building. 42 teaching and non-teaching associates attended the event, which was facilitated by Mr. Adrian L. Duque, the President and Founder of Emergency Rescue Association. Mr. Duque explained to the attendees their everyday exposure to various risks in the environment. He also emphasized available emergency services and proper behavior during accidents.
The Physical Fitness Seminar was held on May 10, 2013, in room 808 of the Technology Building. The activity was a collaboration of the College’s Physical Education professors and event facilitators Mr. Ferdie Lubis, Mr. Janvier Mantala, Mr. Marvin Lacsa, Mr. Gerolino Galipot, and Mr. Jomar Mamauag. 21 teaching and non-teaching associates participated and learned more about the principles of health, exercises for motor fitness, and tips to keep oneself fit and well.
The Seminar on Teaching as a Vocation was held on May 20, in room 907 of the Technology Building. 45 faculty members and Academic Services associates participated in the event, which was facilitated by Bro. Clifford T. Sorita. Bro. Sorita emphasized the importance of an associate’s vocation as part of an academic institution.
The College’s faculty also attended Advancing E-Learning on Moodle held on May 24, 2013 at room 408 of the Technology Building. 29 faculty members attended the activity, which was facilitated by our Consultant and E-Learning Administrator, Ms. Donna Lyne S. Sanidad. Ms. Sanidad shared with her audience how Moodle can aid in making additional effective instructional strategies.
