This is the official website of the FEU Institute of Technology. We have developed this Privacy Policy to notify you about our privacy practices. We value your rights to privacy that any personal information collected on or through this site will be treated in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, or the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

Other domains such as the FEU Tech Student Coordinating Council, Canvas managed or maintained by the FEU Tech, including those by affiliated units, may be covered by a separate and different policy.

The services on this web page are not intended for minors. In the event that a person is under 18 years old, they must get prior consent from the parent or legal guardian in compliance with the Republic Act No. 10173.

All information collected that is maintained by the Institute is stored using our third-party service providers and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run FEU Tech which can only be accessed by the authorized personnel and agents.

The information collected is aggregated until its declared purpose has been achieved.


4. Sharing and Disclosure

The information collected is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes except for the following circumstances:

  1. When you permitted FEU Tech to use your information
  2. When it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Privacy Policy, or otherwise required by law
  3. When we transfer information about you in the event that FEU Tech is acquired by or merged with another company. FEU Tech will notify you before the information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different policy
  4. FEU Tech may disclose personal information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the Privacy Policy.

5. Security

To ensure the confidentiality of the personal data we collect, use, and maintain, we have adopted the technical and organizational measures necessary to prevent the alteration, loss, unauthorized processing, or access of the collected personal data. However, as effective as our security measures are, we still cannot guarantee the security of our database whenever the information you provide us is transmitted over the Internet.

We ask that you remain responsible in sharing confidential information such as passwords, e-mails, contact numbers, and other personal information that you use to access the internet or other mobile applications.

We encourage you to report any vulnerabilities that may be found in our webpage or any application through our webpage to our Data Privacy Office.

As the data subject, you are granted the following rights as written in the RA 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

  3. You have the right to object if the personal data processing involved is based on consent or on legitimate interest
  4. You have the right to suspend, withdraw, or order the blocking, or destruction of your personal data
  5. You have the right to claim compensation in the event that you suffered damages due to any violation of your rights and freedoms as data subject
  6. You have the right to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission in any case that you feel that your data privacy rights have been violated.
  7. You have the right to data portability. It allows you to manage your personal data and assures that you have full control over your own data.

FEU Tech reserves the right to make changes to this Policy from time to time. Should there be any significant changes, we will notify you by sending a notice to your primary email address specified in your FEU Tech account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
