Computer Science students showcased their thesis projects that aim to help solve social issues by applying computer programming, new technological concepts, and methods in their projects during the Computer Science Exposition (CS Expo) held recently at the FEU Tech Innovation Center.
With the theme 'Likha: Filipinos Merging Innovation with Boundless Innovation,' the event, which featured an exhibit and conference, encouraged Filipinos to start innovating and develop existing projects that help resolve social conflicts.
Some of the thesis projects exhibited were BayT, Meat Analyzer, SkinCheckr, Cyclometer Training, Audisync, Techy Bartender, and Sentiment Analysis for Senatorial Election 2019. They were presented by their respective student developers who shared their vision for the project and demonstrated how each work.
Meanwhile, a conference that tackled innovation was also held.
Origima XR Co-Founder Mr. John Hay Supetran discussed the Skeptics Guide to Virtual Reality; NEM Philippines Head Mr. Emerson Fonseca talked about the Blockchain Technology; and Analog Devices Business System Analyst Mr. Argelo Royce Bautista tackled Cloud Computing and the different services that Microsoft Azure offers.
