In the advancing world of technology, everyone needs all the edge they can learn and that is offered inside the halls of FEU Institute of Technology. Microsoft opened its doors to FEU Tech students to be part of the internationally-recognized program that recognizes the top young minds who are passionate about technology.

The Microsoft Student Partner (MSP) Program offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to develop real-world skills to help people succeed in their future career, to help others learn about the technology of today and tomorrow, and to connect with other like-minded students all while having a ton of fun along the way!

"The collaborative effort that we have achieved with our Microsoft leads and fellow MSPs from other universities not only allowed us to become more effective and professional, but also gave us the chance to meet amazing people from diverse backgrounds!" says Raffy Alcoriza, an MSP since 2014.

Through the program, partners have the opportunity to build a closer relationship with Microsoft, establish network with IT enthusiasts, learn new stuff, and help the community by educating them of the latest advancements in technology.

The Junior Philippine Computer Society, FEU Institute of Technology Chapter (JPCS FEU Tech) acts as the liaison to establish the MSP program at the college. They aim to empower technology-aligned students to further their technical competence through disseminating information about the latest Microsoft technologies and industry-related affairs. JPCS also provides information with regard to MSP, including the application process and requirements.

Alcoriza, along with other MSP members, found fulfilling experience with this program. According to him, he is able to achieve his full potential in operating Microsoft Technologies, and he is even able to share his passion for technology to others.

"Being an MSP is like joining a whole new organization beyond JPCS. I was able to meet a lot of other students with passion for technology from other schools. I was exposed to more events, more partners and professionals. This, in turn, boosted my confidence, inspired me to work harder, and enhance my skills. Also, there are paid events that we can enter for free," shared Carlos Caballero, MPS since 2015, who is also a 1st Runner Up during the Imagine Cup 2016 Philippines (Innovation Category).

As an MSP, FEU Tech students like Caballero and Puzon get to compete during Imagine Cup, Microsoft's international premier annual student technology competition. Students get to showcase their own innovations in technology using Microsoft services.

Participating teams went through numerous selection process, from the national level to regional, and ultimately to global competition. Team 2F2C which includes Caballero and IJ Puzon, along with Carlos Miguel Quintos of San Sebastian College Recoletos Manila and Rizzi Sanidad of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, won 1st place with their entry 'StopGo' for the Innovation Category.

Other MSPs including Albert Hipolito and Mariko Masuda expressed their gratitude as it opened doors of privileges and professional growth for all of them. Puzon further expressed that the activities they had at Microsoft truly helped him develop his presentation, time management, and thinking skills that are very essential in the corporate environment. All of them encouraged the rest of the FEU Tech community to be a part of the program and shape up their future the Microsoft way.
