FEU Tech Senior Executive Director Dr. Benson T. Tan explains the importance of integrating mastery in remote learning.
"Mastery-based learning is based on the premise that a strong foundation needs to be built in prerequisite topics before allowing students to tackle more complex, subsequent topics. This lessens the odds of a student graduating while still lacking basic knowledge in key areas and creates an increasingly adept and competitive workforce for the future," he writes in an article published by the Daily Tribune.
In addition, Dr. Tan also shares the unique features of the new and innovative educational system, MILES.
"Though the pandemic certainly comes with difficulties, it’s given us a chance to embrace a better way of learning. Let’s embrace it," he says.
