The FEU Tech Innovation Center (FTIC) successfully concluded its InnovateSpark Challenges: Student Journey Hackathon with an inspiring Demo Day that showcased the creativity and problem-solving capabilities of students across the FEU Institute of Technology community.
Held on November 14, 2024 at the FTIC space on the 5th floor of the FEU Engineering Building in Sampaloc, Manila, the InnovateSpark Challenges brought together student innovators to tackle real-world issues through technology and design thinking.
The event represented the culmination of weeks of workshops and collaborative development where participating teams engaged in sessions covering team formation, design thinking, product development, and pitching. These sessions equipped teams with the tools to develop low-fidelity prototypes and shape creative solutions grounded in inclusive education and social impact.
At the Demo Day, teams presented their prototypes and pitched their concepts to an audience composed of fellow students, faculty, and Innovation Center partners. The event spotlighted the dedication of the participants in translating ideas into tangible solutions that reflect both technological innovation and the values of inclusivity and user-centered design.
“The InnovateSpark Challenges embody FTIC’s commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among students — fostering skills that go beyond the classroom and into real-world problem solving,” said a representative of the Innovation Center.
The InnovateSpark Challenges continues to serve as a key platform for developing future innovators who can contribute meaningfully to society and the wider innovation ecosystem. By empowering student voices and project-based learning, the event solidifies FEU Tech’s role in shaping socially conscious technology leaders.
