The FEU Tech Innovation Center (FTIC) hosted the ARISE: Qualitative Research Workshop on December 5, 2025, providing FEU Institute of Technology faculty and researchers with an in-depth, hands-on session focused on qualitative research writing and methodology. The event took place at the FTIC venue in the Engineering Building, Sampaloc, Manila.
Organized through the Innovation Center’s Research Unit, the workshop aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of qualitative inquiry — from crafting strong research questions and choosing appropriate research methods, to ethical data collection, analysis, and scholarly writing. Hosted by experienced facilitators, the session guided attendees through each stage of the qualitative research process with practical examples and interactive discussions.
A highlight of the day was the “Narratives to Knowledge” segment, which walked researchers through translating rich qualitative insights into compelling academic narratives — a crucial skill for publication and contribution to academic discourse. Through this, participants gained strategies for structuring their findings and preparing manuscripts that meet peer-review standards.
The workshop drew educators and scholars committed to enhancing research culture within FEU Tech, reinforcing the institution’s dedication to rigorous academic inquiry and evidence-based innovation. Organizers noted that building strong qualitative research capabilities empowers faculty not only to explore complex human-centered topics but also to strengthen interdisciplinary collaborations across campus.
By bringing clarity and confidence to the qualitative research process, the ARISE workshop underscored FTIC’s continuing mission to support scholarly excellence and impactful knowledge creation within the FEU Tech community.
