FEU Tech Innovation Center (FTIC) – Innovation Programs


1. What is the FEU Tech Innovation Center (FTIC)?
The FEU Tech Innovation Center (FTIC) is the innovation and entrepreneurship hub of FEU Institute of Technology. It supports students, faculty, and alumni in developing innovative ideas into viable solutions and startups through programs, mentorship, and ecosystem partnerships.


2. What does FTIC offer to program participants?
Participants in FTIC innovation programs gain access to:

  • Mentorship and capacity-building opportunities

  • Innovation Center facilities

  • Events and activities of the Innovation Center

  • Technical expertise and shared services

  • Funding and grant-related opportunities (as applicable)

  • Innovation ecosystem partners, including industry, government, and startup enablers


3. Who can join FTIC innovation programs?
FTIC programs are primarily open to FEU Tech students, with selected programs also welcoming faculty, alumni, and external collaborators, depending on the program objectives.


4. Do I need a startup idea to join?
No. Some programs are designed for idea exploration, problem discovery, and skill-building, while others are intended for teams with more developed ideas or prototypes. Each program clearly states its eligibility requirements.


5. Can I join as an individual or do I need a team?
You are welcome to join as an individual or as part of a team. Whether you are exploring ideas on your own or collaborating with others, FTIC programs are designed to support your journey—some activities may also encourage team formation to enhance learning, collaboration, and execution.


6. What kind of mentorship can I expect?
Participants receive mentorship from startup founders, industry experts, faculty mentors, and ecosystem partners, focusing on innovation, business development, technology, and execution.


7. Will I have access to FTIC facilities?
Yes. Program participants may be granted access to Innovation Center facilities, subject to program guidelines and availability, to support collaboration, ideation, and venture development.


8. Does FTIC provide funding?
For specific programs and under defined terms, FTIC may provide funding support. In addition, the Center helps participants gain access to funding opportunities, grants, pilot engagements, and partner programs through its local and national innovation network.


9. Are FTIC programs academic or extracurricular?
FTIC programs are generally co-curricular and experiential. Some programs may be aligned with academic requirements or course equivalencies, subject to coordination with academic departments.


10. How long do FTIC programs run?
Program durations vary—from short-term activities like hackathons and workshops to multi-month innovation and incubation programs.


11. How are participants selected?
Most programs require an application process, which may include proposal submissions, interviews, or pitching, depending on the program.


12. How can I stay updated on FTIC programs and opportunities?
Updates are shared through:
