LIBRARY ID
The school ID will serve as library card and can be used for borrowing and returning of books
ACCESS TO THE COLLECTION
The FEU Institute of Technology Library maintain an open stack system.
- Books are arrange on the shelves according to the Library of Congress Classification Scheme (LCC).
- FEU Tech Library is using the ONLINE LIBRARY SYSTEM (OLS). Web OPAC is included in the new Library system.
- Periodicals are arranged alphabetically by titles.
GENERAL BORROWING POLICIES FOR STUDENTS
Loans
-
- Students may borrow a maximum of two books for three days while graduate school students can borrow for one week with one renewal privilege. This applies to books from Filipiniana Collection and the Circulation Section.
- Fiction books may be loaned for a week subject to renewal for another week if not in demand.
- Books in the Reserve, General Reference, and Periodical Sections are restricted for "Library use only".
- Loan Period for books ends one week before the start of the final examination of a current term.
Fines

- Materials returned late are subject to overdue fine of Php 8.00 / book /day. Overdue fine slip is signed by the Librarian before payment is made to the Cashier's Office.
- Borrowers with outstanding obligations will not be allowed to borrow unless all library accounts are settled.
Lost Books
A lost book while out on loan must be reported immediately to the Librarian, lost book must be replaced by the borrower with the same title and pay the accumulated fines.
Damaged Materials

- Missing pages in any borrowed book must be reported immediately to the Librarian.
- Library materials damaged beyond normal usage must be replaced with the same title, preferably the latest edition.
Photocopying

- Philippine copyright law prohibits photocopying of the entire book.
- Photocopying of undergraduate research / thesis are strictly prohibited.
- Photocopying of books is limited to 15 pages only.
Security Control

- Users entering the library shall be responsible to their personal belongings and valuables such as cash, jewelries, cellphones, laptops and alike.
- Library personnel are not liable for any loss and damages of such.
Suspension of Library Privileges
The following acts of misconduct are covered by the FEU Institute of Technology Student Handbook which provides for corresponding sanction:

- Pilferage, defacement and mutilations of any library materials.
- Dishonesty in the form of bringing out library materials without permission.
- Discourtesy or any misdemeanor towards any library Associate.
Conduct Inside the Library

- Users are expected to conduct themselves in suh a way that they will not disturb peace and order in the library.
- Eating, sleeping, drinking, littering, boisterous laughing and loud talking are not allowed.
- Cellphones must be in SILENT MODE.
- SILECNCE is the golden rule in the library.
GUIDELINES FOR SCHOLARS' BOOK USAGE PRIVILEGE
- A scholar is entitled to a book usage privilege for two weeks only.
- A scholar is issued a separate library card.
- A scholar is entitled to loan out books for two weeks only.

Loans

- Students and associates are allowed to borrow a maximum of two (2) materials for three (3) days.
- Borrowers need to fill-out the Borrower's Form (BF) and surrender it to the librarian in charge.
GENERAL BORROWING POLICIES FOR FACULTY AND ASSOCIATES
- Accomplish the Associates Library Record (ALR) and sign the book card over the printed name.
- Fulltime associates and faculty may borrow a maximum of four books for a period of one month, subject to one renewal. Failure to return the book on the day prescribed is subject to overdue fine of Php 10.00 / book / day.
- Part time faculty may borrow books for a period of two weeks subject to one renewal.
- A Part time faculty member is required to present his/her Tentative Teaching Load (TTL) Form signed by his/her Director to be allowed to borrow books.
